In the blasting industry, safety is not just a corporate promotional game. It is the way of life. This is due in part to the fact that our industry is one of the top 5 most heavily regulated, making it impossible for unsafe companies to stay in business.
A large portion of our safety training revolves around reminding each employee of the consequences for irresponsible actions while working with explosives. We go to great lengths to obtain video footage and subsequent investigative reports from blasting accidents that occur around the world, (they are few and far between these days, thanks to a healthy and responsible industry).
We are truly thankful for the ability to have a safety record with no deaths or injuries.
Our safety-training program consists of 24 hour training for all newly hired employees, and 8 hour, annual refresher training for every employee. Additionally, our supervisors conduct weekly safety meetings with every employee. Our company safety program exceeds the criterion and standards established by MSHA, OSHA, NFC, and every state and local governing agency.
